SUZIE WANDRAG
Suzie’s love for braai has been lifelong, but she took it to the next level by founding Women Fire Food four years ago-a platform dedicated to teaching women (and even some eager men!) the art of braaiing and smoking. With almost eight years of smoking experience and decades of braaiing under her belt, Suzie is the ultimate expert, whether it’s an 8-hour smoked brisket, homemade bacon, pulled pork, ribs, or even a simple steak.
She competed in Kokkedoor Vuur en Vlam Season 2 and winning accolades at BBQ competitions, including 1st place for her beef at Gauteng’s Outdoor X in 2024. Suzie is also the proud founder of the Chilli Club South Africa, hosting chilli-eating competitions and crafting her award-winning hot sauce, Donkiebyt, which scooped gold and double gold at the Aurora International Taste Challenge in 2021.
